Seth Eisenberg has been an oncology nurse since 1983. His experience includes 36 years in Bone Marrow Transplantation at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, Washington, with 25 years in ambulatory oncology infusion.

He has authored numerous peer reviewed articles, and several book chapters, two of which are included in the 2024 ONS Safe Handling of Hazardous Drugs. As a recognised expert in hazardous drug safety and the principal investigator in three published nursing research studies, he has had the privilege of traveling to Canada, Mexico, Europe, Taiwan and the UAE to share his knowledge directly with oncology peers across the globe.

Awards include the 2017 March of Dimes Research Advancement Award, the Susan Baird Excellence In Clinical Writing Award, and the 2021 Distinguished Award for Consistent Contribution to Nursing Literature.

While officially retired, he continues to consult and advocate for nursing and patient safety
