The Basics of Eye Protection
Why wear eye protection?
Eye protection, such as face shields, goggles and eye shields, help to protect your eyes from splashes, sprays, and infectious droplets.
What is eye protection (and what is not)?
Eyewear is designed to help to protect the eyes from all sides so fluids do not enter. Face shields, eye shields and goggles count as eye protection.
Regular eyeglasses and contact lenses are not eye protection.
How healthy is your PPE stockpile?
Respirators are an integral component of essential personal protective equipment (PPE) required for safeguarding against respiratory airborne infections. Discover further information about our program for respirator preparedness and how we can assist in maintaining a reliable supply for your needs.
